Electrogaz started the national corporate league with a bang after thrashing the ministry of defense by 71-59 in basketball at Amahoro stadium indoor courts.

Electrogaz displayed their superiority by leading in all four quarters of the game and the duo of Deo Karemera and Caisus Murindabigwi were on fire grabbing over 42 points between themselves.

Although the ministry of defense players were taller and physically bigger than Electrogaz counterparts, their lack of sharpness was exposed by the Electrogaz players, who were very quick and had good movement with the ball.

Eleven teams will take part in this year’s corporate league and they are: Electrogaz, Minadef, BCR, Access Bank, BK, RAMA, RRA, KIE, Instersec, Minispoc and Caisse Sociale. The teams will be competing in three disciplines of football, volleyball and basketball.

The football matches will be taking place at Ferwafa artificial turf, starting this weekend, while Volleyball and Basketball will be played on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at Amahoro stadium, Circle Sportif and Caisse Sociale playground.
