Sibomana joins Libyan top tier side Al Wahda SC

Rwandan forward Patrick Sibomana has joined Libyan outfit Al Wahda SC Tripoli on a six-month deal-courtesy

Rwanda international Patrick Sibomana has completed his move to Libyan outfit Al Wahda SC.

Sibomana, 28, moves from fellow Libyan outfit El Ettihad where he spent just five months making five league appearances.

The experienced winger is expected to play a key role in the set up of the Tripoli-based club as they hope to finish in the top ranks. Al Wahda finished 8th in Group 5 of the Libyan league last season.

"I am ready for the new chapter and ready for the work,” said Sibomana in an Instagram post after putting pen to paper.

Sibomana’s new club currently sits in fifth place with 25 points, four points behind league leaders, Al Ain.

Sibomana is an experienced player who can play in the wing and upfront. He started his career at defunct Rwandan club Isonga FC before moving to APR. He also played for Mukura Victory Sports, and Police FC in Rwanda as well as Club Ferroviario Beira, Shakhtyor Soligorsk, Gor Mahia and Young Africans in Mozambique, Belarus, Kenya and Tanzania respectively.

At international football, the forward rose through the ranks from the U17, U20 and U23 national teams before making his maiden appearance for senior Amavubi in 2013.
