Striker Jeanine Mukandayisenga is settling for life at Tanzanian women’s top tier side Yanga Princess at which she is starting a new chapter of her football career.
The Rwanda international opened her goal account on her debut game in the Tanzanian Women’s First Division league, scoring twice as Yanga Princess beat Alliance Girls 3-0 on January 28.
The performance, she said, boosted her confidence and she looks to build on it to reach the highest level during her spell at the club.
"I am happy to score for my new club but I am hungry to score more goals. It was one of my best performances, especially as a new player, because scoring goals brings you the confidence and you can build on it and do better in next fixtures,” Mukandayisenga said.
"Now I have to keep doing the same. I did a brilliant job but I am just getting started. It was a big win, a big game, and everyone is happy,” she added.
Mukandayisenga joined Yanga Princess on a two-year deal after passing trials with the club in December 2024. She scored 13 goals which helped Rayon Sports to win the league title last season.
