KEZA, an international luxury fashion label based in Rwanda, is hosting glamour and prestigious fashion show, at Heaven Restaurant, on Sunday August 9.

The first ever event will honour thirty-eight women from BURANGA Women’s Cooperative, who currently produce all KEZA luxury fashion jewelry. And 10 Rwandan models will parade the catwalk, displaying forty of these original KEZA pieces.

The President and CEO of KEZA, Jared N Miller told The New Times, that the jewellery to be represented in the show, are made from paper found at Rwandan printers around town.

"We use all Rwandan materials and will expand to creating sandals, handbags, clothing and other accessories early next year.”

KEZA is a registered Business Development Consulting Firm in Rwanda, located in Kimironko close to the market.

"Our name means "beautiful” in their native tongue, Kinyarwanda. We are a "people inspired fashion company”, inspired by the artisans creating our extraordinary fashion goods.”

The BURANGA women were previously living on the streets, desperate to find a better way of life, now they are producing products worn by celebrities in the United States.

"We’re developing the lives and businesses of African women, giving them something they can believe in and own.”

"For the first time, they are in control of their destiny. Through our one-of-a-kind products, we are shining a new kind of spotlight on Africa; one that tells the story of the beauty and excellence of its land, and of its people.

In March 2009, KEZA was showcased on QVC, one of the largest multimedia retailers in the world, broadcasting live on TV 24 hours a day, 364 days a year.
