Ruth Nirere, whose stage name is Miss Shanel, is an irresistible beauty with talent.
She is incredibly gorgeous and brilliant. Her big-brown drowsy eyes and vocals qualify her as Rwanda’s queen of R&B.  

Her dance antics and the way she captures attention on stage make the unique gift and artistic quality in this young star shine. 

The three time Pearl of Africa Music awards nominee is not only known for her music, she is also considered to be a rising movie star. Miss Shanel starred in "Avenir”, a film about the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

According to one of her close friends, "We’re seeing a future of Hillywood’s Angelina Jolie”. While to the music lovers, Miss Shanel could eaily be called Rwanda’s Beyonce Knowles.

Miss Shanel who recently released a hit track with Kenyan Kevin Wyre called "Nakutaka”, a Swahili word to mean, (I want you), has just returned from South Africa for the "One Dollar Campaign” concert.

The 24-year old is multilingual, and composes her lyrics in: Kinya-rwanda, English, French, and in Swahili.
