Zambia’s Chipolopolo has been boosted by the arrival of six professionals ahead of the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda next month.

Felix Katongo, strikers Jonas Sakuwaha and Fwayo Tembo linked with the rest of the players on Tuesday while skipper Christopher Katongo of German side Arminia Bielefeld, defender Misheck Lungu (Budapest Honved, Hungary) and midfielder Rainford Kalaba (Gil Vicente, Portugal) arrived in the camp yesterday.

The rest of the foreign-based players are expected before June 1. Meanwhile, custodian Kennedy Mweene (Free State Stars) who was voted best goalkeeper in the South African Premier Soccer League has cautioned his team mates not to take Amavubi lightly.

"It’s not easy coming out of Egypt with a point; the team did exceptionally well to secure the valuable away point. Look, make no mistake against Rwanda; there are no small teams anymore,” he said.

It is certainly going to be a difficult game against Rwanda but we are playing at home and we need to make sure that we bag all three points,” Mweene added.

Zambia faces Rwanda on June 6 at Chililabombwe’s Konkola Stadium before hosting Algeria on June 20.
