COGEBANQUE officials arrested over Rwf60m

MUSANZE — Four employees of COGEBANQUE, Musanze Branch have been arrested for causing a financial loss of over Rwf60m to the bank.  

The suspects include; the Bank manager, Ernest Ruzindana, two cashiers; Niyitegeka Vernest, Amani Nkusi and the principal cashier Dancila Musabyemariya.

Gaspard Baratimana, the manager in charge of COGEBANQUE upcountry branches, confirmed the arrests, but did not divulge other details on the financial scam.

However, bank sources say that the cashiers blame their bank manager for swindling the money. The quartet is expected to appear in court today.
