Algeria head coach Rabah Saadane has dropped Abderaouf Zarabi and Lamouri Djediat from the Fennecs Squad which will prepare for the 2010 World/Africa Nations’ Cup qualifier due on June 7 in Algiers.

The pair will not travel with the rest of the team to Marseille in France for training camp ahead of the crucial clash with Egypt.

According to Le Buteur magazine, Saadane has already decided that neither Nimes Olympique defender Abderaouf Zarabi and Entente Sportive de Setif midfielder Lamouri Djediat will be called up for his team’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Egypt and Zambia in June.

Apparently, Saadane has determined that MC Alger’s Reda Babouche will bring more to the team than Zarabi could.

Meanwhile, Djediat has been dropped due to his recent dip in form which is widely being blamed on his overuse by his club coach this season.

The national trainer released a list of 34 players from which he would select his final 24-man team which will travel to Marseille to begin training on May 25.

Thus, the coach must axe an additional eight players by May 20, when he is expected to announce the call-ups.

Algeria host Egypt on June 7 as Rwanda will play away to Zambia a day before in Group C battle of who reached the 2010 World/African Cup finals in South Africa and Angola respectively.
