Fifa women football instructor arrives today

FIFA instructor Monika Staab is expected to arrive in the country today at 10:00am abroad Kenya airways.

While in the country for a whole month, she will conduct coaching clinics for local women football coaches across the country.

Ferwafa’s Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport that Staab is here to asses the level of development of women football.

"Our plan is develop women football both at club and national team level, therefore, her coming here will go along way in helping us in that regard,” Kalisa said.

The 48-year-old German is credited for popularizing women football in Germany.

She steered local outfit SG Praunheim in to FFC Frankfurt and helped them to domestic and international glory working both as coach and president of the team.

She now works as a Fifa instructor touring different continents in a bid to popularize women football.
