Barely a week after Noah, Rwanda’s 15 year old rapper shared the stage with Alicia Keys in the American Idol; another national has splashed the international entertainment scene again.

Rwandan born Liliane Murenzi, was on the 11 May crowned Miss Switzerland, beating 12 other contestants to the title of Miss Switzerland 2009.

On the podium, Liliane Murenzi in any case put everyone on agreement for her elegance, charisma and beautiful eyes. Though young, Liliane demonstrates the necessary maturity to expedite the functions of the ‘Miss’ title.

Murenzi said her very convincing friends encouraged her to register for the beauty pageant.

Of her plans of the year ahead she said, "I want to carry out my personal projects and to partner with certain humanitarian associations working with underprivileged children.”
