Table leaders Atraco boosted their title hopes with a vital 1-0 win over AS Kigali in a league match played yesterday at Kicukiro artificial turf.

Jean Shyaka’s strike on 30th minute extended the champions lead at the table standings with 46 points, seven ahead of second placed APR with three matches left.

Meanwhile, Rayon Sport quest for the title was halted after minnows and relegation battling club Marines whipped the blues 3-2 at Nyamirambo stadium.

Marines climbed from eleventh position to ninth position with 19 points while Rayon Sport stayed third, level with APR but with an inferior goal difference.

SC Kiyovu moved further away from the drop zone with a 1-0 win over Electrogaz at Mumena stadium. Jack Tuyisenge netted the winner on the 16th minute to lift the Nyamirambo based club to sixth position 23 points.

Electrogaz remain fourth with 24 points. Meanwhile, record nine-time league winners APR take on Police this afternoon at Nyamirambo stadium hoping to win and keep pressure on Atraco.
