Alpha Bizima was born to Joseph Anania Bizima on May 25, 1986 in Geita Tanzania. He says his mother passed away when he was 11 years old but hardly knew her.

However he has four siblings; two girls and two boys. Alpha did his elementary education in Nyabohanse English medium school and Omukarilo English medium school in Kenya and Tanzania, respectively and thereafter joined APRED Ndera School in Rwanda.

When asked on who inspired him to the music industry, he said his father did though he is no longer into music. He says that his father would play Anglican music on his guitar which made the young Bizima develop a liking for music. He also says that artists like Lucky Dube (RIP) plus R. Kelly also inspired him.

On the local scene, he says he is inspired by a music producer called Mugisha because of the way he makes his music.

The upcoming musician says that he is encouraged by things done in the name of good and not bad. But his joy is in seeing the youths of Rwanda participating in the promotion of their country.

He says he loves a baby’s laughter. Alpha says he doesn’t appreciate step mothers who mistreat step children because these children too need care if they are to beome great in the future. He has a soft spot for orphans and widows. He says they need support.

Asked if he also does secular music, he says no! He basically does gospel and educative music and he gives an example of his solo we are one which touches many people when he sings it.

He believes he will rise by the grace of God. He however says that the greatest challenge he is facing at the moment is that he has 30 songs written but is lacking financial support to produce at least one album which would be his first release.

Among his songs is ‘We are One’. He adds that he tries to gather some money for his first release through doing temporally jobs commonly known as ibiraka but can’t reach his expectations, since one song will go for Rwf60,000 which is expensive.

He says that he developed his "We are one” single after he had a quarrel with somebody he doesn’t wish to disclose.

"I mean, why should people fight against others yet we are one, why the horrible moments in Israel and in Rwanda, we are one and we should be united.”

When asked if he is ‘involved’, he smiles…..and says, "No! I am not coz I think I am not ready to disappoint any body because girls love too much care which care goes hand in hand with cash.”

"I will tell you when I get one,” he adds with a smile. Watch this space.
