APR leave for Egypt this afternoon ahead of their first round return leg of the Africa Confederation Cup against Haras El Hodoud set for this Saturday in Alexandria.

The 25-man delegation flies out at 2 o’clock aboard a Ethiopian flight but without striker Ndjoli Bokungu, who is suspended after accumulating two yellow cards.

His absence and that of fellow DR Congo born striker Labama Bokota (injured), leaves the burden of looking for goals squarely on Elias Uzamukunda and Kabange Twite.

The two sides played out a goalless draw in the first leg in Kigali 12 days ago. Meanwhile, APR will honor the fallen Ivorian football fans before the game in Alexandria.

According to Caf website (www.cafonline.com), Caf Secretary General Fahmy Mustapha said all host clubs in the return legs of the African Champions league and Confederation Cup will observe a minute of silence before the kick-off.

At least 22 people died in a crush at a football stadium during a World Cup qualifier in Ivory Coast.

More than 130 people were injured in the stampede at the Houphouet-Boigny arena in the West African country’s city of Abidjan.

About 36,000 spectators were in the stadium, where hosts Ivory Coast beat Malawi 5-0.

The incident occurred before the game began but the fixture was allowed to go ahead. The stadium was reportedly sold out in advance of the game after cut-price tickets went on sale.

APR go into Saturday’s game in a must-win situation if they are going to reach the last 16 of the Confederations Cup.
