I cannot allow my fellow friends rights to be violated yet I promised to be a voice to the voiceless. Some of you may wonder why the toddlers mind sometimes thinks or writes certain things that are above its age.
No! It is not the age; the life in which the toddler is living today does not allow it to act as a child. The hard life in which toddlers live in today has trained it to think and reason like a mature person.
Toddlers have been left to nurture themselves while parents are busy working. They can not get any one to correct them were they go wrong.

Today, I will not talk much about the discipline parents are supposed to instill. I have been forced to ask parents to read Article 37 of the Rights of a Child.
We toddlers have the right that protects us from corporal punishment; I was so touched when I hard that there are parents who still batter their children.
The New Times of October 11, 2007 told a story of a 12 year boy from Nyagatare whose father beat him near to death.
I wish the father to this boy was aware of Article 37 of the child rights, may be he would not have punished these children.
He could definitely leave it because he would know that he will be imprisoned. Dear parents who still think that children can be beaten any how, I call upon you to know the children’s rights and avoid imprisonment.
From today onwards, take it serious that we toddlers have a big impact on our nation if one is killed the nation losses a lot.
We are the strongest pillar of the country; we should be protected from anything that can take away our life, joy and peace. Save us by respecting our rights.
