RWANDAN ENTERTAINMENT continues to deliver showbiz news and gossip like never before.

Traditional singer Ibrahim Cyusa is still coming to terms that he was jilted Belgium-based Rwandan girlfriend Jeanine Noach. The same week, friends and family of deceased Jeanine Neema, were filled with grief as the model who was laid to rest in Arizona, United States.

The New Times takes a look at the stories that made headlines last week.

Cyusa’s love story takes unexpected twist

Local culture musician Ibrahim Cyusa is in tears over his unprecedented breakup with Belgium-based Rwandan Jeanine Noach with whom they had shared a romantic relationship.

During their relationship that lasted over a year, the duo could not get over each other and posted pictures of their romantic moments for whoever cared to know.

The singer, during an interview on local YouTube channel Isimbi, narrated that they had to wait for Noach to finalise her divorce with her 80-year-old legal husband before proceeding with the wedding.

Their plans however, remained hanging after Noach’s husband died in April before she successfully secured the divorce. With his family claiming his properties, Noach had to take the case to court so she could inherit them.

Cyusa’s relationship with Noach was never the same since the latter’s husband died.

Reports in the media of a possible separation between the two emerged, after the woman deleted all the photos with the singer on her Instagram account and asked not to feature, as initially agreed, in the song ‘Uwanjye’ that the singer was about to release in dedication to his ‘future wife’.

Cyusa however, went ahead released the song featuring a different girl, something that his lover did not take lightly as she claimed that the song tampered with her court case, eventually ending their relationship.

The singer questioned her claim, wondering how a song, in which she doesn’t feature, prompted the court in Belgium to re-start her case.

Model Neema laid to rest

It was all tears and grief as friends and family said their last goodbyes to deceased model Jeanine Neema Ngerero.

The model, who died on October 3, aged 25, was laid to rest in Arizona, United States, on Friday, October 14.

The burial was attended by the model’s friends from different states in America who claimed to have lost a good and humble friend in Neema.

Celebrated music entrepreneur Ramadhan Mupende, commonly known in music as Bada Rama, was among the attendees.

At her age, Ngerero had a promising future in modeling on the international fashion scene, having headlined big fashion events like Milan Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week.

May her soul rest in peace.

Local showbiz vlogger on RIB watch

Local showbiz vlogger and media personality Bosco Sengabo, also known as Fatakumavuta, is on Rwanda Investigation (RIB) watch after actress Alliance Isimbi, a.k.a Alliah Cool, reported him to the investigation body last week.

The vlogger, via a recent Instagram post, claimed that Alliah Cool is pregnant with a Nigerian wealthy man who is close to completing a Rwf300 million house for her in Kigali, a post that did not go well with the actress.

Reports indicate that Alliah Cool reported Fatakumavuta to RIB who called him to report to its headquarters on Friday, October 14, to explain what he said of the actress.

There were reports that the vlogger was detained upon arrival but RIB spokesperson Dr Thierry Murangira dismissed them and clarified that he was interrogated and returned home.

Charly na Nina staying in the U.S for good?

Female music duo Charly na Nina are in the United States where they were invited to attend a youth summit that took place in Kentucky, Texas.

While it was believed that they were expected to return to Kigali after the summit, media reports have emerged that the duo is keen to stay in the United States.

Sources close to them say that they came to a conclusion that they will continue their music in America after they reach an agreement to do music under the management of The Mane Music Label, whose CEO Bad Rama also lives in the United States.

Charly na Nina’s music career has only endured a downfall since they parted ways with former manager Alex Muyoboke. They now want to bounce back under the management of Bad Rama whose management in music has always been questioned by the likes of Safi Madiba and late rapper Jay Polly and later Marina, although the latter returned to his management.
