On March 22, Aegis Trust will reward gender champions who have achieved extraordinary progress in promoting positive masculinities and fostering gender equality.

With March dedicated to raising awareness of gender biases and challenges, Aegis Trust, alongside partners that include business owners, representatives of public institutions, and non-governmental organisations, will celebrate and award outstanding individuals and organisations that have enthusiastically propelled this mutative effort onward - through the organisation's project "Promoting Positive Masculinities Attitudes and Behaviors Change through Education, Dialogue, and Civil Society Capacity Building.”

The gender champions will comprise parents, faith-based organisations, cooperatives, gender activists, civil society organisations, public institutions, and people of impact who were part of the project or are engaged on the same path.

The award is expected to encourage individuals and organisations to adopt broader positive changes in attitudes and behaviours regarding gender in the Rwandan social setting.

Alphonse Munyantwali, Aegis Trust's Country Director, said, "Recognising and celebrating individuals and organisations that champion positive masculinities is essential in the transformative journey towards gender equality.”
