BRALIRWA Plc. part of the HEINEKEN Company, the leading beverage company in Rwanda, celebrated International Women's Day with a series of empowering events that showcased the achievements and contributions of women within the organization.

Under the international theme "Inspire Inclusion," the celebration kicked off with a tour of the soft drink plant, where women involved in production showcased their work and inspired other women working in different departments.

The tour was followed by a session on programs supporting the professional growth and development of women at BRALIRWA. Participants learned about initiatives such as Lift Her Up, a women's empowerment program that offers mentoring workshops from successful women in various industries in Rwanda, and the Women Interactive Network Program, a global leadership development program aimed at leveling the playing field for women at HEINEKEN. "At BRALIRWA, we value diversity of thought, experience and perspective as it enriches our organization and drives innovation. We are committed to investing in initiatives that promote gender equality, break down barriers and create opportunities for women to thrive in their careers," said Laetitia Uwera, Human Resources Director.

The session was followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion where women in various leadership roles within the organization shared their insights and experiences. The discussion highlighted the importance of championing the growth of all women, supporting their journey, and recognizing their invaluable contributions to the organization and the community.

In his remarks, Managing Director Etienne Saada reiterated Bralirwa's commitment to gender diversity and inclusivity. "Our commitment to empowering women goes beyond numerical targets. Some of our achievements include a 50/50 gender balance in our leadership team, as well as increasing the number of women in our supply chain. We believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to succeed," said Saada.

The event concluded with a call to action for everyone to continue to champion the advancement of women in the workplace and beyond.
