Badminton: Rwandan team confirmed for 2024 All-African Games

Rwanda is among 26 countries which will compete for honors in Badminton at the 13th All African Games due in Accra, Ghana, from March 3-10.

The Badminton event at the continental multisport event will also serve as qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Besides Rwanda, other countries which will feature in the Badminton include Burkina Faso, Togo, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Kenya, Cameroon and Zambia.

Also on the list are Uganda, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Somalia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Senegal, Benin, Congo DRC, Congo, Namibia, Seychelles, Mauritius, and host nation Ghana.

This is going to be the first time the Badminton will be played at the All African Games and Rwanda will be aiming to lift the trophy which would earn them a ticket for the Olympic Games.

Rwanda joined the World Badminton Federation on June 30, 2023 became the 47th member of the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) and the 199th member of the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
