Teenager Hakim Sahabo continued his fine exploits in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League as he once again put up exceptional performance in Standard Liege's 1-1 draw with Club Brugge.

Elsewhere, Joel Mugisha Mvuka made his debut for Young Boys during Saturday’s 1-0 loss to FC Basel in the Swiss top flight league .

Striker Arthur Gitego also scored twice on his unofficial debut for AFC Leopards.

Friendly Games

Rwandan skipper Djihad Bizimana was an unused substitute for FC Kryvbas who suffered a 3-0 defeat to Czech outfit Viktoria Plzen at La Nucia Football center in a mid-season friendly game.

Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was also an unused substitute for TS Galaxy who lost 4-3 to Czech Republic outfit Bohemians in a friendly game at the Arcadia Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkey, on Saturday, January 27.

Striker Arthur Gitego scored twice on his unofficial debut for AFC Leopards on Monday, January 29, as they lost 3-2 to Nairobi United.

In the French Ligue 1, right-back Warren Kamanzi lasted 70 minutes before making way for Mikkel Desler as his club Toulouse FC lost 2-0 to RC Lens on Sunday, January 28.

In Ligue 2, Irvyn Lomami, who is of Rwandan and Congolese parentage, was not involved as Stade Lavallois went to Stade Paul Lignon to beat Rodez 2-1.

In the U19 Championnat, striker Thierry Musabyimana played for Le Havre who beat Stade Rennes 2-0.

Belgium

Hakim Sahabo was superb in midfield and enjoyed another 90 minutes of action for Standard Liege who drew 1-1 with Club Brugge at Jan Breydel Stadium on January 26.

Central midfielder Samuel Gueulette played the first half before being substituted by Togolese international Fadel Gobitaka in Raal La Louviere's 2-0 win over Royal Antwerp II in the third tier.

There was no Salomon Nirisarike in the KVK Tienen squad which beat Olympic Charleroi 1-0.

In the U23 division, Maxime Kali Wenssens was on the bench for Union Saint-Gilloise who fell to a 6-0 humiliating defeat at the hands of RCS Verlaine.

Left-back Hendrick Yves Mutamuliza and goalkeeper Matteo Nkurunziza were all in action for RWDM U21 who thrashed Francs Borrain 5-0 in the Reserve Pro League.

Forward Louange Muhire is expected to feature for FC Dender U21 when they face Patrol Eisden on Monday, January 29.

Switzerland

Joel Mugisha replaced Dylan Maes in the 46th minute as Young Boys lost 1-0 to FC Basel in the Swiss League top fixture on Saturday.

Algeria

Midfielder Djabel Manishimwe started on the bench for USM Kenchela who lost 2-1 to Athletic Barado in the final match of the first round of the Algerian Ligue 1.

Saudi Arabia

Defensive midfielder Steve Rubanguka featured for FC Nojoom who beat Al Nariyah 4-2 at Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium on January 27.
