From the start, Vision played well, taking advantage of its strong midfield and wings. Musanze tried to cope with Vision's high pressing, but their resistance didn't last long.

Hagenimana broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, netting a fantastic goal on rebound after Fabrice Ishimwe's shot hit the post.

Despite Musanze's efforts to find an equalizer, they couldn't convert their chances before halftime.

In the second half, Vision continued to dominate with precise passing in the midfield, linking up well with the team’s attacking players. For some parts of the match, Musanze seemed to be more of a team that was failing to lay hold on the game.

In the 67th minute, Ibrahim Nshimiyimana scored Vision's second goal from a rebound of a rebound of his own free-kick which had hit the defensive wall.

Musanze will be hoping for a comeback in the second leg when they host Visions FC at home on January 23.
