Rayon Sports will be up against second tier club Interforce in the first leg of the 2023/24 Peace Cup quarter-finals that will unfold at Kigali Pele Stadium on Tuesday, January 16.

The Blues, who are the defending champions of the competition were exempted from the first qualifying round, while Interforce saw off City Boys to book their place in the last eight.

On paper, Rayon look set to dominate Interforce, nevertheless, anything can happen.

The 2022/23 champions go into the game on the backdrop of a 2-1 loss they suffered over the weekend at the hands of Gasogi United in the Primus National League.

There is pressure on interim coach Mohammed Wade who will return to his assistant role by the end of this week as Rayon will appoint a substantive head coach.
