Sitting Volleyball: Rwanda drawn in Group B for Africa Paralympics qualifiers

Rwanda’s men’s sitting volleyball team has been drawn in Group B alongside Zimbabwe, Algeria and Libya ahead of the forthcoming African Zone Sitting Volleyball Championship that will take place in Lagos, Nigeria from January 9 to February 7.

The continental competition serves as the qualification round for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France from August 28 to September 8.

Meanwhile, hosts Nigeria found themselves in Group A alongside Egypt, Morocco and Kenya.

Rwanda will also be represented in the women’s category as one of only three countries confirmed for the qualifiers scheduled from January 29 to February 3.

Other participants include Zimbabwe and Nigeria.

The winner of the tournament in each category will represent Africa at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
