Kids’News: Children to fight against genocide ideology

On Tuesday November 11, Rwandan children were trained on fighting against the genocide ideology. This was during the 4th National Children’s Summit held at Kigali Serena Hotel. A number of international and government officials attended the summit.

On Tuesday November 11, Rwandan children were trained on fighting against the genocide ideology. This was during the 4th National Children’s Summit held at Kigali Serena Hotel. A number of international and government officials attended the summit.

Apart from sensitising children on their role against genocide ideology, the officials also explained to children the importance of being patriotic and building peace. The officials also said that children’s rights are very important.

Children participated in a number of activities like reciting poems, staging plays and singing. The message was urging children not to take part in any form of genocide ideology.

The various ministers answered questions from children who also gave their comments on how to stop genocide ideology in Rwanda.

Rwanda’s famous musician Ntore Masamba, sung songs with the children and entertained the various guests.
