According to the source that requested anonymity, this deal is worth a mind-blowing amount, surpassing any previous deal signed by an East African artiste with a major music label. It even outshines Diamond Platnumz&039;s 2017 deal with Universal Music Group, as reported.

"Bruce Melodie has something huge in the works. He has been in talks with S-Curve Records for nearly nine months. This deal will be the biggest ever signed by an East African artiste, showcasing the progress of the music industry in Rwanda and the region," the source shared.

The source also mentioned that there are plans to announce this deal, following the release of Bruce Melodie's upcoming album titled 'Sample', expected to drop before the year ends.

The ‘Cathelina’ crooner has also been working on dropping an album 'Sample' first since beginning his professional career in 2012. READ ALSO: Bruce Melodie’s joint project with Shaggy finally here

"There are plans to announce this deal in a spectacular manner, following the release of Bruce Melodie&039;s upcoming album titled 'Sample', expected to drop before the year ends."

While Bruce Melodie has been working with 1:55AM, it seems that the label will primarily be involved in personal management, while S-Curve Records covers the expenses, investments, and promotions.

"Bruce and S-Curve Records are working together on short-term agreement. 1:55AM is only helping on a personal management level because all other expenses, investments and promotions are being coverd by the mentioned label," source said.

It's worth noting that Bruce Melodie has been making waves with his collaborations with renowned regional and international artists like InnossB, Harmonize, Eddy Kenzo, and recently the legendary Shaggy.

When the new deal is announced, Bruce will join a growing contingent of African stars who are collaborating with international music companies to grow their music, influence, and achieve penetration into other markets.

"Bruce's music is now being sold by 'Universal Music Publishing Group', so after dropping his album, that is when the final negotiations will be held to finalise the deal."

Talking to The New Times on Monday, Bruce Melodie confirmed the development, saying that he has a partnership with the American label but could not disclose if he has signed with them or not.

Bruce Melodie said: "they (S-Curve Records) are helping in promoting my music on the international market. They helped me on my latest release with Shaggy and they will do the same on my upcoming album."

"There is not much I can comment about, there are things they are helping me with now. That is all I can say," he added.

About S-Curve Records

For more than 20 years, S-Curve Records has been one of the most innovative record labels in the world, consistently scoring with hit records and pushing the envelope with innovative sounds.

Founded in 2000, by Grammy-winning producer/record executive Steve Greenberg, the label’s very first release was the iconic Baha Men smash "Who Let The Dogs Out.”

In short order, the label followed up with Fountains of Wayne’s classic "Stacy’s Mom”.

Next came the first two albums by British soul chanteuse Joss Stone, which garnered multiple Grammy and Brit Awards nominations while selling a combined 8 million albums worldwide.

The hits continued in the ensuing years with "Check Yes, Juliet” by rock band We The Kings (who, like Fountains of Wayne, were signed to S-Curve by legendary A&R man Steve Yegelwel), plus great records by Diane Birch, Sir Tom Jones, Little Jackie, Duran Duran, a double Grammy-nominated album by Miami soul Queen Betty Wright with the Roots, and the list goes on.

In 2010, S-Curve released the first single by singer/songwriter Andy Grammer, "Keep Your Head Up”, which became a multi-platinum hit. Andy Grammer has gone on to become one of the most respected artists and consistent hitmakers in pop music, releasing such smashes as "Honey, I’m Good”, "Fresh Eyes”, "Don’t Give Up On Me” and many more. S-Curve’s 2018 debut single by Eurovision winner Netta, "Toy”, was but the first of many great releases by this innovative artist.

In recent years, alternative rock artists AJR came on board, scoring hits like "Sober Up”, "Weak”, and continuing with "100 Bad Days”, "Bang” and the viral hit "The Good Part”. In its new partnership with Disney Music Group, S-Curve continues to release exciting music, with Daisy The Great X AJR’s "Record Player”, Netta’s CEO and numerous new tracks by Andy Grammer leading the way.

Under the guidance of GM Milo Pacheco, S-Curve’s marketing is always forward-thinking while remaking true to the vision of our artists.
