The month of October has seen Rwanda’s music scene buzzing with fresh beats and catchy tunes with local artistes dropping back-to-back hits.

Let’s take a closer look at the major new songs that are taking over global streaming platforms and establishing Rwandan music as a vibrant and dynamic industry.

When She's Around (Funga Macho) remix - Bruce Melodie ft. Shaggy

The much-anticipated joint project was premiered on Friday, October 27, with a playful music video captured at Miami Beach, and directed by Jay Will who produces for mega stars like M.I.A, Lee Scratch Perry, Kanye West, Shaggy and Major Lazer among others.

The banger is about a very attractive girl warning that when she is nearby, it can be risky for you. You should stay away from her and not get too close, or you might be tempted by her charm.

Njyenyine - Yverry ft. Knowless

Yverry, born Yves Rugamba and Kina Music mogul Knowless Butera released a song called ‘Jyenyine’ which simply means Lonely. The project revolve around how both used to feel lonely and did not expect amazing an day ahead but now when they wake up next to each other, it feels like paradise.

The song was produced by Element, mastered by Bob Pro and directed by Gad an emerging video director to keep eyes on.

Confirm - Dany Nanone

Confirm a single by Rwandan celebrated rapper Danny Nanone is a captivating song that saw the rapper confessing how totally crazy he is for his lover and that she is his before anyone else.

The Amapiano version produced by Prince Kiiz follows ‘Nasara’ ft. Ariel ways, ‘My Type’ among other comeback million-view songs after going back to the recording studios.

Bana – Shaffy ft. Chriss Eazy

Bana banger, by a first artist Chriss Eazy and the Rwandan - US based Shaffy is making wave and slowly toping chart because of its highly danceable, infectious and lively vibe in it. This joint work with ‘Akabanga’, ‘Sukuma’, ‘Worth it’ hit maker follows Chriss Eazy’s millions-view hits like ‘Inana’, ‘Stop’, ‘Eden’ to name but a few.

No Body - Bwiza ft. Double Jay

The much-anticipated single did not disappoint both Bwiza and Burundian first rising star Double Jay’s diehard fans. The 3:39 long record is a catchy banger with an upbeat tempo that will have you singing along in no time.

Ni Nziza - Chrsyo Ndasingwa

"What no man can do, you have done for me, darling Jesus, let me praise your name,” part of ‘Ni nziza’ lyrics reads. The singer and worshiper, is one of the musicians that are steadily gaining popularity on the country’s gospel music scene.

Moves – B-Threy

The kinya-trap genre banger with much creativity, has been making waves in every corner since its release. Moves is about working hard, being rich and embracing self-actualization. The project follows an EP recently released after joining Kwanda Hub.

Wallah - Okkama

Wallah, is a single produced by Element, saxophone by Dawidi and Directed by Joma from Tanzania. The single follows other city’s banger like ‘No’, ‘Mesaje’, ‘Ooh Shito’ and others.
