Kigali, 24 October 2023 – There was a fire outbreak at our headquarters in Kigali today.
The fire affected the 7th, 8th and 9th floor of the building, leading to a precautionary evacuation. Fortunately, there have been no loss of life or reported injuries. Local fire services are currently on-site and have successfully extinguished the fire. At this time, we are in the process of investigating the incident to determine its cause and impact.
The safety and well-being of staff and customers are of utmost importance to us. We want to ensure our customers that they can still access the bank’s services through digital channels or any of our branches across the country apart from the head office branch and offices.
We are closely monitoring the situation and we will provide updates as soon as we have more information.
