Players Abroad: Biramahire on target for UD Songo as Mugisha shines in Tunisia

Forward Abeddy Biramahire was on the score sheet for UD Songo whereas Bonheur Mugisha, Emery Bayisenge, Patrick Sibomana and Samuel Gueulette also excelled for their clubs in Tunisia, Kenya and Belgium respectively.

Sweden

Yannick Mukunzi started for Sandviken IFwho lost 1-0 to Orebro Syrianska. The former Rayon Sports and APR midfielder was in action for 75 minutes before being replaced by Adam Kiani. Countryman Lague Byiringiro also replaced Alexander Mutic in the 21st minute.

Striker Kaleleo Uwimbabazi was not in the Pitea IF squad which beat Vaslund 2-0.

In the Superettan League, Rafael York and his brother Rafael Torre both missed Gefle IF’s goalless draw with Helsingborg.

Norway

In the Eliteserien, right-back Claus Babo Niyukuri, who is of Rwandan and Burundian parentage, featured for 76 minutes before being replaced by Oscar Krusnell as his side FK Haugesund beat HamKam 3-0.

Centre back Ange Mutsinzi enjoyed another 90 minutes of action for FK Jerv who were beaten 2-0 by Kongsvinger at the JJ Ugland Stadium. Jerv are without a win in their last five games.

In the third-tier league, goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in the posts for Strommen IF who lost 3-1 to Levanger.

Josias King Furaha replaced Peder Donvad in the 76th minute as Flekkeroy IF thrashed Ground by 3-1 while Emmanuel Baru Gisa was not in the match day squad of Fram Larvik who lost 2-1 to Egersund on Saturday.

Ukraine

Amavubi skipper Djihad Bizimana made way for Vladyslav Semotyuk in the 46th minute as his team FC Kryvbas beat Metalist 1925 Kharkiv 3-1. Kryvbas are on top of the league table with 23 points from 11 games.

Belgium

Teenager Hakim Sahabo replaced Rayan Berberi in the 46th minute as Standard Liege II were thrashed 3-0 by Anderlecht II.

Samuel Gueulette saw 76 minutes of action before making way for Theo Cenci in Raal La Louviere's 4-0 humiliation of Charleroi.

Salomon Nirisarike was not in the KVK Tienen squad which suffered a 4-0 mauling at the hands of Jong Gent.

Switzerland

Skipper Quentin Rushenguziminega played full throttle for FC Echallens who beat Bassercourt 4-3 in the Eerste Liga Cup.

Espoir Niyo Nsanzineza also featured for FC Rapperswil-Jona who beat Bulle 1-0.

France

In the Ligue 1, right-back Walter Kamanzi was an unused substitute for Toulouse who played a 1-1 draw with Stade Reims.

In the CFA, Bryan Ngwabije played for Andrezieux Boutheon who beat Jura Sud 2-0.

Netherlands

In the Eerste Divisie, Noam Emeran came in for Isak Maatta in the 74th minute as Gronningen lost 2-1 to De Graafschap.

Slovenia

In the second tier, central defender Dylan Georges Maes played for newly-promoted FK Tolmin who beat Ilirija 3-2.

Tunisia

In the Professional Ligue 1, defensive midfielder Bonheur Mugisha was superb for AS Marsa who drew 1-1 with Metlaoui. Marsa are coached by former APR gaffer Ben Moussa.

Saudi Arabia

Midfielder Steve Rubanguka played full time for Al Nojoom who lost 2-1 to Al Kawkab in match day six of the second-tierleague.

Kenya

Both Emery Bayisenge and Patrick Sibomana were in action for all 90 minutes as Gor Mahia beat 1-0 Tusker FC.

Mozambique

Abeddy Biramahire came from the bench to score in UD Songo 2-2 draw with Ferroviario Beira.

Luxembourg

Sven Kalisa was in action for Etzella Ettelbruck who beat Mamer 1-0 in the second league.
