Striker Gilbert Tuyambaze snatched an equalizer in the 88th minute to help Bugesera FC force a 1-1 draw against APR and share points from Tuesday evening’s Primus National League encounter at Kigali Pele Stadium.
Tuyambaze’s goal came late in the second half to rescue a point for the visitors, a result that left unanswered questions from APR hierarchy towards head coach Thierry Froger as his side continues to struggle for results.
APR started the match brightly as they looked to build on Friday’s 2-1 win over Musanze. Victor Mbaoma opened the scores early in the 17th minute to give the army side a lead, heading home Christian Ishimwe's cross from the left flank.

But, with renewed belief and confidence back into the second half, Eric Nshimyimana’s side pushed forward in search of an equalizer, which dully arrived near to the end of the match when Tuyihimbaze scored with the long range short to make it 1-1 and bring the visitors’ hope for a positive result back to life.

The goal came after Nshimyimana's side dominated APR in ball possession for the majority of the second half but failed to utilize their chances.
