GICUMBI — Horizon construction Company this Wednesday started repairs on the Kigali, Gatuna highway in Manyagiro Sector of Gicumbi district.

The site Engineer John Uwintwari said the 2.5 Km road repair works shall be completed in three weeks time.

"We have dug deep to 60 inches and shall resurface these three different damaged parts of the road with two types of hard and compressed layers, that will last for a long time till the entire highway from Kigali to Gatuna is rehabilitated” said Uwintwari.

Transit Goods trucks drivers that have for a long time been facing problems commuting along these damaged parts of the road.

The in charge of road works in the Ministry of Infrastructure Innocent Mushumba said Government is committed to rehabilitating all roads in the country.

"The entire Kigali to Gatuna highway shall be rehabilitated next year with funding from European Union” said Mushumba.
