The weekend has arrived, and Kigali is once again abuzz with a lineup of events ready to whisk you away into a world of entertainment. From musical spectacles to comedy nights that promise endless laughter, and traditional music performances – The New Times is here to guide you through the tapestry of Kigali's entertainment scene this weekend.

1. Freaky Friday - Kisimenti (2 PM - 8 PM)

Kickstart your Friday with some old-school musical vibes at Inferno’s "Freaky Friday" in Kisimenti, right next to the Rubis petrol station. DJ Kan and Ruff Cut DJz will be curating the musical experience, making it the perfect event for those who love classic tunes. The fun starts at 2 PM and goes on until 8 PM.

2. Lovin&039; D Chaos - Cocobean (7 PM onwards)

Hottempah Collective presents "Lovin' D Chaos” at Cocobean (KG5 Ave A) from 7 PM onwards. The music for the evening will be curated by Hottempah, DJ June, and DJ Alida. Get your tickets for Rwf5,000 before 10 PM and Rwf10,000 after 10 PM.

3. Alan Cave Concert - Crown Conference Hall Nyarutarama (6 PM onwards)

For fans of Kompa Zouk, the Alan Cave Concert is a must-attend event this Friday. Alan Cave will take the stage at Crown Conference Hall Nyarutarama starting at 6 PM and going late into the night. Tickets are available for regular seating at Rwf10,000, VIP at Rwf20,000, and VVIP table options at Rwf35,000 and Rwf40,000.

4. Dutarame u Rwanda - Onomo Hotel Kiyovu (2 PM - 10:30 PM)

Experience the rich sounds of Gakondo or traditional Rwandan music at "Dutarame u Rwanda" this Friday at Onomo Hotel in Kiyovu. Victor Rukotana, Massamba Intore, Ange & Pamela, and Abamararungu will grace the stage from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. Tickets are priced at Rwf10,000, Rwf20,000, and Rwf250,000 for a table for six people.

5. FERWABA All-Star Game and Concert - BK Arena (12 PM onwards)

Get ready for an action-packed Saturday as the Rwandan basketball federation presents the FERWABA All-Star Game and Concert at BK Arena. The gates open at 12 PM, with a three-point shooting contest for both men and women, followed by a slam dunk contest. At 5 PM, the main event kicks off as Team Turatsinze faces off against Team Nshobozwa in the highly anticipated All-Star Game.

At 8 PM, BK Arena will transform into a musical paradise, featuring South African music sensations Nasty-C and Cassper Nyovest, alongside Rwanda&039;s very own Kivumbi King.

Tickets are available ranging from Rwf15,000 to Rwf45,000 for Courtside seats.

6. Seka Live - Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (6 PM)

On Sunday, September 24, Seka Live presents the return of Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (formerly Camp Kigali) from 6 PM onwards.

Join Anne Kansiime and other comedians like Patrick Rusine, Herve Kimenyi, and Don Andre for an evening of laughter. Tickets are available at Rwf10,000 for regular seats and Rwf20,000 for VIP.

7. "The Woman In Me" Screening - Sheila's Honey (7 PM)

Eric Kabera is showcasing his movie titled "The Woman In Me" at Sheila's Honey (Gacuriro KG 424 street house 4) on Sunday, September 24, starting at 7 PM. Tickets for regular seats are Rwf20,000, and VIP tickets, including one drink, are priced at Rwf30,000. Support local creatives and enjoy a cinematic experience at this screening.
