Rwanda senior national team hosts Botswana in the first of two ‘return’ matches this afternoon at Amahoro indoor stadium, starting at 4pm. The teams will meet again tomorrow evening at the same venue.

Botswana arrived in the country on Saturday morning and trained at Amahoro stadium in the evening as they seek to improve on the two home defeats suffered in Gaborone last weekend. Rwanda won the two games 3-0, 3-0.

Paul Bitok’s team preparing to compete in the third and final qualifying round for the FIVB Men’s World Championships due in Poland later this year, cancelled their build-up matches against Kenyan counterparts as well as top clubs; Prisons, Ulinzi and GSU.

The team will instead concentrate on build-up matches against local top league clubs. The team will depart for Cameroon on February 11. Rwanda will start the final round of the 2014 FIVB Men’s World Championships qualifier against Algeria.

The team will face hosts Cameroon the next day before playing Gabon and Nigeria on February 15 and 16 respectively. The top team in the pool will join the winners of the other two pools to represent Africa in Poland.
