Rapper Bac-T’s ‘Reality Check’ album was initially slated for launch in September, but the singer quietly slid away to attend to his wedding. And after tying the knot with his long-term girlfriend, Gabrielle Rugina, in mid September, the singer is back, this time with a slightly changed schedule.Other than launching the album in the conventional style, Bac-T has instead opted for a countrywide pre-launch tour that will see him unveil the album’s 14 singles to his fans across the provinces. The first show, today, November 29, will be held at the Bicasso Bar in Gacinjiro, and gates open at 7p.m. The next stop will be Muhanga, on the first weekend of December, before proceeding to Gisenyi for a Christmas bash.Done by producer Jay P at Hope Street Studios, the album is a collaborative effort and features vocals from True D, another Hip Hop singer. Some of the songs on the album include, Ghetto Queen, Hustle, Personal, More fire featuring TMK from Tanzania, Ice Cream featuring De Ben and Love Page, a solo effort. However, a few of the songs have been laid to sampled Hip-hop beats. The album is linguistically diverse, as it features vocals in Kinyarwanda, English and Swahili.Away from the music, Bac-T is a veteran radio personality, who has been hosting the ‘Mapigo on Air’ slot on Contact FM until September this year when he threw in the towel to concentrate on his music and an upcoming show on East African Television (EATV).He will be accompanied by a host of artistes, including True D, Jay C, Ras Omy-K, Mako Nikoshwa, Miss Confidence, Green P and Fireman.
