Ex-Arsenal star Alex Song arrives in Rwanda for friendly matches - with his new Djibouti side

Alexandre Song, who recently signed for Djibouti's AS Arta Solar 7, is in Rwanda with his new team for two friendly matches against APR and AS Kigali.

The 33-year-old former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Cameroon player arrived in the country on Thursday night and will lead his team against AS Kigali at Kigali Stadium on Saturday as his team prepares for the CAF Confederation Cup.

AS Arta Solar 7 will play their second friendly against APR FC on Monday at Kigali Stadium. The Djiboutian side begins their CAF Confederations campaign against Egypt's Arab Contractors on November 28, 2020.

Song left FC Zion of Switzerland in March after refusing a salary reduction which the club had asked from all players to cope with the impact of COVID-19.
