How many times do you think a king should speak before his subjects obey? It should be immediately. Can you think of any reasons why it is important to obey Father God immediately? First of all, it shows respect; God has a good reason for giving his command. May be if you delayed to obey, you or someone else could get hurt. The King of kings, Father God says you are His friend if you obey Him! Imagine you being a friend of God! This is so marvelous! Wow! Remember that God has placed your parents over you until you are able to live on your own. He has appointed them to take care of you and to teach them about Him. God says in the Bible, “Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother.” (Ephesians 6:1-2) So obeying your parents is really obeying God. Do you obey instantly or does your mom have to call you three or four times when she wants you to do something? Does your dad have to tell you several times to do your homework or turn off the TV?
