There is something unique about a lady wearing cufflinks. They look so good and it brings out the boy in them. I personally was taught how to wear cufflinks by my older brother. For decades, cufflinks have been the stylish way in which a smartly dressed man kept their shirt cuffs together. Along with watches and rings, cufflinks were one of the few pieces of jewellery worn by men, and one of the few ways a man could express himself. Unlike the years then, men can now wear feminine clothing as well as accessories, so I see no reason as to why women should not wear their cufflinks in style. Accessories were initially tools to enhance the dressing of rich men of the yester years who had the money and wanted to flaunt their wealth in small but expensive and unique accessories. Today, men and women alike are still expected to be fully and presentably dressed, though in certain parts of the world, dressing has evolved into a fashion statement that symbolizes the sense of well being for both men and women. Dressing has impacted on fashion and has therefore become a powerful tool in determining a person’s success. Cufflinks for example, have stopped being a man’s only accessory because designers have also come up with their version of the ladies cufflinks. In fact cufflinks are not the first male items for women to wear. Women started by wearing the men’s suits, shirts and jeans to the boyfriend jacket. From this, one can find different designs of cufflinks designed for women because we no longer have to wear the male cuffs. Cufflinks can be a great way of making a statement about who you are and making sure you get noticed and remembered. Cufflinks look great both on men and ladies alike. Many people think the best cufflinks are those that are larger than life, but contrary to that fact- the best cufflinks are the smallest pea size that one can find. They can now be found to be made from precious metal such as silver or gold to those encrusted with real or fake jewels, enamelled designs like heart shaped, shoe shaped or even initials of one’s names – all this will depend on the size of your pocket. Not only can cufflinks be worn to office or in business meetings, but they can also be good when worn on a blouse with double cuffs for an evening out for a lady who wants to look casually smart and sassy. By the way, ladies do have to wear their cufflinks on blouses only; a beautiful long sleeved or short sleeved double cuffed dress looks fashionably beautiful as well when cufflinked. So strong and influential, men’s fashion has been to women’s fashion collections throughout the years, Coco Chanel being the first fashion woman designer to incorporate the man’s fashion into women’s fashion. This was the first entry for women into men’s fashion and women have never looked any better than now.
