Jacque’s Vibes : Why do young girls prefer dating middle-aged men?

Ahmmm… even before I go further with writing what I want, I am thinking about this friend of mine. Last week Jane* (not real name) hooked up with this guy, rather a man because this guy thing does not match him at all. I feel like I am insulting him yet I don’t mean to sound rude. Anyway over the weekend we decided to have a girl’s day out as usual. We went to Top Tower Hotel to enjoy the splendid view and talk—at this convenient hang out in Kacyiru, we ate and drank as we jazzed about very many things. Among them came the issue of girls going in for middle aged men; by this I mean the guys who are about 40 years plus. At the mention of this Jane, said, “Oh my God, you girls do not know that with such men like Simon, you certainly have heaven in your palms.” Then Sandra also added that these older men will certainly be a provider to any young girl as long as you just give him a chance in your life. “Chance my foot!” Joan exclaimed- these guys will try to do their best to please a girl, besides they have seen it all. At times, I think that it is a way through which they are disposing their surplus—for those who have families. At the look of things, any young girl would want to have a soft landing, be served on a silver plate. Why wouldn’t she then go in for a man who makes her feel like she has reached her Canaan—the Promised Land—dah! Believing that hard work pays, sometimes young girls are so impatient with all this zigzag of life with its winds endlessly blowing East and West. This is why they opt to only harvest what they did not plant. After all, these guys are so generous and at any time they give in bounty as long as she just adheres to his words. So many materialistic women chase after these men not because they are in love with the man but in love with what he has. My friend Sandra who is 25 years went on to marry Thomas who is 52 years because he had promised her a piece of land in the city and also built her residential houses for rent. This was a perfect deal for her. She went on to get married to him regardless of the age difference.
