Having a healthy lifestyle is not as hard as we take it to be. It just takes the motivation to change our bad habits into good, healthy ones. Many people would love a healthy lifestyle but it is one thing to plan and the other to execute, because we tend to copy what is good for other people, forgetting that each one of us has a different need.

A friend who went through a rough separation from her partner of almost twelve years recently asked about how to go on being a healthy woman after ignoring herself for many years. It can be as simple as abc once one comes up with healthy a choice that fits their every day life.

The first thing is to eat a balanced diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables and get rid of the high sugar, processed foods. Along with eating better is getting the right nutrients in the system.

It is also important to take vitamins and minerals to help your body work properly.

This can only be done by the help of a medical doctor. Quitting unhealthy foods, Smoking, drinking, whatever your vice may be quit now is sure way to go for a healthy and long life.

You are in charge of your health and living a healthier lifestyle means getting rid of the things that may kill you.

Exercise makes you feel good and can motivate you to get other things done as well; it should not be done as a routine, but rather as something that you enjoy doing.
Medical check up at least twice a year to make sure your health is on the right track is also advisable.

One should not wait until there is an alarming concern about their health to see a doctor.

Surrounding yourself with positive people who will encourage and help you along the way, is very important in leading a healthy lifestyle because they make you laugh and you become a happy person. Negative vibes are harmful to our health.

Keeping family stress at bay, by interacting and discussing family issues openly to each other goes a long way in helping us to live a fun and enjoyed long life.

Sometimes some family situations do not go to the extreme when there is an open dialogue in the family. When you don’t have a happy family-then your health will also take a nose dive.

Creating a balance between work and rest is essential. Research has proved that too much work might prove unhealthy to anyone.

The brain should not be overworked by any means; it needs some rest to bring out the best in a person’s life. Therefore a good sleep between six to eight hours can do miracles in one’s life.

Last but not least is that each person should be in love with themselves first to be able to enjoy the good things in life. No matter how one is, whether big or small, short or tall each one of us was created uniquely and so we should appreciate ourselves to live a healthy and positive lifestyle.

Remember it all starts with us- if you love yourself, life will love you back. If you take care of yourself the results of good health will be showing both from the inside and outside.
