While I have a fair view on the most recent mini -cabinet reshuffle, I have found myself gnashing my teeth on why the ministers in the Education Ministry are ever in news papers with titles such as “Gahakwa dropped” and “Mutsindashyaka resigns”.
Right after the mini-cabinet reshuffle was announced, I smelt a rat in the ministry of education; this compelled me to ask myself why is it that whenever the president reshuffles the cabinet, Ministers of the education ministry are not spared.
During the reign of Mujawamaria, the ministry was rocked with genocide ideology” among our educators and students. And I believe that’s why the dropped ministers tried to battle.
Today the local media have been rocked with dropping of Ministers, Daphrose Gahakwa and the state minister Theonesthe Mutsindashyaka.
The questions which come to mind right away were- maybe they failed to deliver to the expectations of the public.
In the episode of two years, Jean d’Arc Mujawamaria and Joseph Murekeraho were dropped from the ministry and it’s the same ministry today which is in the media again.
I think this ministry is a wide ministry which ends up confusing the powers. Let me hope today the president has made a right choice to appoint Mr. Charles Muligande as education minister.
The public is impatient to find out what’s wrong with the ministry, they were appointed with huge public trust but they have ended up falling from grace to grass. The resignation of Mutsindashyaka came following a news story in Focus newspaper accusing him of abuse of office and am yet find out why Gahakwa was dropped.
The public eye and trust are on you Mr. New Minister and hope you’re not going to let the public down.
