That most of the accidents in the past are a result of drunk driving, justifies the need to intensify the fight against those who drive under the influence of alcohol.

The police must be commended for the determination and commitment with which they are implementing the law.

Next, law enforcement in this country should seriously take another look at the road users who are in the habit of talking and texting on their phones while driving. Recent research has confirmed that the percentages of road accidents caused by drunk driving are exactly the same as those resulting from drivers using their phones on the road

This is an issue that requires urgent attention and measures from the national police in the same way as drunk driving is being tackled.

Proper planning by the authorities and the existence of pedestrian walkways, have ensured order on our roads, especially in urban centers where there is a high concentration of population and susceptible to road accidents.

The current campaign against drunk driving is an extra measure, motivated by the necessity to forestall road accidents caused by reckless driving as a result of alcohol.

Motorists can assist in ensuring the success of the effort, through exercising self discipline and avoiding driving under the influence.
