So much depends on reputation therefore one is supposed to uphold it with maximum care.

Reputation is the cornerstone for power, when you ruin it your power is diminished because once it slips out of your hand you become so vulnerable. Storms can easily then attack you from all corners thus you can not defend yourself.

When you know you have worked all your life trying to build your reputation then you ought to have all reasons to preserve it from rotting for if it does you will have nothing to solicit respect for.

In life today individuals work to have recognition in society and this will come from the way you appear and conduct your self in all your deeds thus will earn your self honor and people will look at you as their idol and an inspiration in a certain way.

Have you ever considered that your reputation might be the only immortal aspect you have?  Not only do you form a judgment for your self but other people will always make an impression of you.

You therefore should work on it since it form your  past, lives and is maintained in the present and has to survive the future as well. Think of leaving a legacy what will people talk about you when you are gone and not here anymore to defend your acts.

Remember, much as we work on attaining our goals in life there are people out there that would love to bring us down, they will do all it takes to dig holes in what you have worked for to make your roof weak and they will be happy to see you in a helpless state; that is definitely their victory attained.

I strongly concur with Benjamin Franklin when he said “it takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it”.

Therefore what you do today could elevate you to the next step and if you take it for granted you might lose it all the next minute.
