A day in the life of....: Jackiline B. Mpore

Jackiline B. Mpore is the supervisor of Simba Coffee shop in town. She has the task to ensure that customers are served to their satisfaction. She monitors and takes part in building the spirit of good customer care as expected. Below she tells how she goes about her typical days work: I wake up at 5a.m, make my bed and take a shower. By 6am, I am done with home arrangements and set for work. By 6:45a.m, I am already at work. 7a.m is the official time to start work. The first thing I do is to monitor whether all workers have arrived on time. I then make it a point to ensure that everyone is carrying out his or her duty. I make sure that every department is equipped for the day. When every thing is in line, I sit down to have breakfast like any other worker at the coffee shop. I supervise and receive customers to ensure that they are served the best way possible. If I am to work the whole day, I have lunch at 2p.m. However, when it’s only the morning shift, I have it at home. Depending on work at the coffee shop, I sometimes leave at 8p.m. I straight away go home to check on my children.Reaching home, like any mother I freely interact with my children and have fun with them.
