Pierre Kayitana is one of those super talented and brilliant guys of our time.
At just 23, Kayitana is the Director of Rwanda Cinema Centre, and the brain behind Hillywood.
The name Hillywood reflects on both the beauty of Rwanda and on the aspirations of its young filmmakers.
Kayitana’s efforts, in collaboration with other talented Rwandan filmmakers, has made it possible for Rwanda film festival to grow steadily and become recognized as one of Africa’s largest and most unique venues for filmmakers to showcase their work.
The young star is in his final year at Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).
However, he confesses that though the phrase “Free Time” is rare to him, he enjoys hanging out with friends at the Bourbon coffee shop, and sometimes escapes the city to Gisenyi to relax.
