Juliana Kanyomozi @ “Beautful People”

Chances are, if you are reading this, you’re probably one of Juliana Kanyomozi’s loyal fans in Rwanda. Now, trust us on this, this Friday is going to be terrific as the Ugandan diva sizzles the stage at the “Beautiful People” gala night today at Kigali Serena hotel.

Entrance is U$ 30 for a single person and U$70 for a corporate table, all dinner inclusive. The event starts at 8pm.

“Happy People” @ KCT

Are you sick and tired of the hot season? If so, why not head down to Kigali City Tower (KCT) tonight for the “Happy People Summer” edition and see whether you can relax togood music.

DJ Hassan of Home Boyz from Kenya will be playing alongside DJ Karim from 10pm till morning. Entrance fee is only Rwf5,000 per person.

Dundastar grand finale live concert @ Petit Stade

I wonder how many readers know about the Dundastar. Well, worry not. This Talent Search is finally coming to an end tomorrow, as 13 contestants battle it out to win the first edition of Rwanda’s first talent search, Dundastar.

The grand finale concert will be held at Petit Stade tomorrow starting from 4pm and it will be graced by none other than the “Akanyarirajisho” star Jay Polly.

Tickets go for Rwf1000.

‘DTMIY Unplugged’ @ Pakalast

If you are in town and love rap music, there is no better way to start off your weekend than to visit Pakalast Bar and Restaurant in Remera today at 8pm.

Local artistes El Fazo (J-Dub Nkera) and Don Nova (Muhire Allen) will be unveiling their latest mixtapes titled, “Dub Therapy” and “Mu Isi Yanjye” to the public in a party at the bar.

The party is free. However, you may purchase their CDs and T-shirts at the gates if you want.

Night Clubs

We all have friends that we haven’t seen in a long time. Why not give them a call and get together this weekend? One of the nicest ways to enjoy your weekend is to visit any of these nightclubs: Golemi at Lemigo Hotel in Kimihurura, Planet Club at KBC, Black and White at Alpha Palace Hotel in Remera, and Legacy at Hotel Mille Collines or Next at Muhima.

Catch up with friends this weekend on beer or wine and good conversation.

The perfect spot to start your Friday night and the entire weekend is K-club. There will be your favourite DJ’s spinning from the early hours of the night until dawn.

Entrance fee is Rwf5, 000 and Rwf10, 000 in the ordinary and VIP sections, respectively.

Pubs and Restaurants

This one is good for couples or groups. There are plenty of refined restaurants in Kigali you and your family or friends can dine away from home. The best thing is that you don’t need to clean up after eating!

Just remember to carry your wallet and head to any of these restaurants below: Heaven, Flamingo Chinese, Sol e Luna, Shokola, Lalibela Ethiopian, Indian Chef, Mr. Chips, Le Chateau, Papyrus, Camellia Tea House and La Sierra.

And by the way, these restaurants play nice music and the ambience is awesome. Have a great weekend!
