Popular gospel songstress, Gaby Kamanzi, is set to launch her debut album. The singer/performer disclosed the development recently. She hinted that the 10-track album is titled, Amahoro.

The New Times gathered that the songstress is putting plans together to host a concert at the luxurious Kigali Serena Hotel on March 31, to mark the album’s release.

The musician, who has been around since the late 90’s, is currently doing intense practice with her band and other musicians who will grace her concert.

“I have always wanted to put up this show and I thank God for making it possible. I wouldn’t have been here without Him and that’s why I will always worship God,” she said.

At the album launch, Gaby, as she is famously known, will be joined by fellow gospel artists, Aimé Uwimana, Fortran (from Burundi) and others. “I practically know and have worked with all of them. Together, I promise you we are going to put on an amazing show,” she said.

Gaby accepted Jesus into her life in 1997, and immediately joined Singiza Ministries. She later joined Shekinah Praise and Worship Team of Restoration Church in 1999.

The 31-year-old has appeared at many concerts during her 15-year long career. In 2002, Gaby worked with Aime Uwimana at the launch of his second album and also performed at Willy Uwizeye’s album launch. She is also a common musician in Burundi as she sometimes sings with Appolinaire, another famous gospel musician based in Burundi.

Entrance is Rwf 10,000 for V.I.P and Rwf 5,000 for ordinary section. The concert starts at 6:00pm.
