Aimable Kubana, the brain behind the famous play ‘urukundo nibigeragezo’ literally meaning love and temptation is set to launch his second book early next year.
The 62 page book part of documentation—‘iraha ryakanya ritamaripfa’ literally meaning enjoyment for a while does not guarantee long term happiness.
The play which also runs every weekday on City Radio was first made public in March this year and the book’s launch comes at a time when the fans need it the most.
“The play amazingly never ends and it is always unpredictable. It’s just enjoyable,” said Francine Uwamahoro, a Kigali based lawyer.
She admits that every time she listens to the play on the radio, it’s both humorous and educative; a combination she says is rare to come by. It involves a man who cheats on his wife with an underage girl while the woman cheats on him with the houseboy.
“Cheating is dangerous because it may also spread sexually transmitted diseases like HIV,” Kubana explained the reason he wrote the play.
Before the main launch in Kigali, Kubana will take the campaign to distribute his book upcountry, first to Kibungo, Ngoma districts, in the Eastern province.
“On Christmas people of the Eastern Province have requested me to perform with all the actors,” he revealed.
Kubana who is also presenter at City Radio is a singer. He has produced two albums and is the lead actor in the play which illustrates the dangers of not being faithful especially among married couples.
“People who cheat on their partners expose their families to a lot of risks. There is even the challenge of poverty and family neglect,” said Kubana.
Kubana, 28 disclosed that soon after the launch, he would be going for holiday in Cameroon and Belgium before resuming his busy work schedule. Good luck for you boy.
