THE second edition of Eto’o Foundation-organised U-15 and U-13 football tournament to commemorate the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, has reached the final stage.

The two-week tournament, which started last Saturday, with a total of 12 teams (8 for boys) and (four for girls), will come to an end this Saturday with finals in both categories.

After a busy weekend in semi-finals, the finalists are known.

Tournament organisers Eto’o Foundation reached the finals in both categories after a 5-0 victory over Authentic International academy on Friday in girls’ competition before the boys saw off Des Amis 1-0 thanks to Innocent Habimana’s strike.

In the final, Eto’o Foundation will take on Denominators in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.

“Last year, we lost in both the Under-15 and Under-13 finals, and we’ve reached the final once again in both categories, but this time we are hoping for a change in fortune,” said Fabrice Ndayisaba, the brain behind Eto’o Foundation and the tournament organiser.
