Additional staff boost performance of local gov’ts

KARONGI - Local leaders and residents in Karongi District are convinced that the addition of an extra employee at the Cell level, has enhanced performance at the grassroots. The extra official is in charge of Integrated Development Programme (IDP).According to local authorities, a year after the Ministry of Local Government deployed an additional staff member at each Cell, development has been progressive.
