Indian festivals bind Indo-Rwandan ties

Editor, THIS letter is with reference to Linda Mbabazi’s interesting story titled “Malayalee community in Rwanda celebrates Onam.” Celebrating Indian festivals in Rwanda will bring our two great nations even closer. One can already see a marked increase in investments from India into Rwanda, which is good news. India and Rwanda are both rich in culture and the strengthening of cultural ties will facilitate the integration process.

Onam greetings to all my Malayalee brothers and sisters living in the beautiful land - Rwanda.

In order to showcase Rwanda’s culture here in India, the Indian Merchants’ Chamber has invited Rwandan students to come and perform a series of dances during the forthcoming World Tourism Day celebrations on 27 September, 2011 at the Chamber in Mumbai.
