I have been inconvenienced by security operations in the wee hours of the morning where officers searching for military and police equipment, including arms and uniforms, knock on my door and many others in our neighborhood.
However, the outcomes of these operations are quite surprising.
According to the police and the media reports, the searches have unearthed military and police equipment, while those in their possession are neither Police officers nor members of the Rwanda Defense Forces.
The Police should not relent in its efforts to encourage residents to voluntarily hand over all illegal equipment they are in possession of.
I appeal to any individual who still possesses such equipment to hand it over to the authorities.
