Thousands turn up for Primus Guma Guma Superstar Road show

The first ever Primus Guma Guma Superstar Road show kicked off Saturday in Rusizi District in the Western Province. An estimated number of 5,000 people, who cheered and danced frenziedl,y attended the show.

The first ever Primus Guma Guma Superstar Road show kicked off Saturday in Rusizi District in the Western Province.

An estimated number of 5,000 people, who cheered and danced frenziedl,y attended the show.

“We never expected such liveliness in Rusizi. People seem to know every single artist,” said Joseph Mushyoma a.k.a Boubou, from East African Promoters LTD. The road show features live performances by the ten top artists that consists of Dream Boys, Dr. Claude, Urban Boys, J-Polly, Riderman, Rafiki, Mani Martin, Faycal, King James and Tom Close, to audiences around the country, who then vote in their favourite artist.

The winner will pocket Rwf 6 million. The show is meant to promote local music talent and so far, three shows remain. Each person would be allowed to vote once.
